So the biggest one-man brand in fashion is getting bigger on October 15th, when Polo Ralph Lauren opens a 22,000-square-foot store at Madison Avenue and 72nd Street in Manhattan. The building and the products scream glamour, but despite the $159,000 diamond necklaces, retail analysts said rich tourists and New Yorkers were not the store’s only intended audience.
