THE WIFE™ can look to Peter Philips for inspiration to switch up her bored mundane beauty routine. The Dior Creative Image Director designed a contrasting look in harmony with the new Dior, Pre Fall 2016 collection, showcasing a blend in materials and colors.“I created an edgy makeup look that is both rock and sophisticated. The focus is on the lips, with deep, intense colour. The eyes are light while the complexion is pale and perfectly even,” Peter Philips tells THE WIFE™.
To achieve a velvety and perfectly even complexion in contrast to the dramatic lip, Philips used the Diorskin Forever range 3-step routine. Beginning with Diorskin Forever & Ever Wear Make Up Base, which ensures long wear, adds light and evens out combination skin. Next, he applied Diorskin Forever Fluid Foundation using the new bevelled sponge making it easier to work on detail. The third step, he used a brush to apply Diorskin Forever & Ever Control Loose Powder which is both light and invisible, eliminating shine from the T-zone. Lastly, creating a shimmering touch of light at the top of the cheekbones with Diorskin Nude Air ‘Glowing Gardens’ Illuminating Powder in “Glowing Pink.”
Peter then covered eyelids with an iridescent champagne shade using Diorshow mono (Launching April 2016) in “Délicate,” then shaded the outer corner of the eye with a touch of matte brown shadow using Diorshow mono in “Animal” to create a radiant nude effect. Brows were precisely emphasized with the Backstage Pros All-In-Brow 3D brow kit (Launching April 2016).
Rock and chic, it is the centre of attention. To get this intense colour, the lips were first lined in Dior Contour lip liner in “Thrilling Plum” before Diorific Mat “Troublante” (available in Europe only) was applied. The result is sophisticated, with a sensual, pigmented velvet matte effect. Echoing the intensity of the lips, nails looked sophisticated in very deep plum, with Dior Vernis “Nuit 1947.” All products are available at Dior.com –THE WIFE™
