The Social WIFE: The Battery

The Battery, San Francisco

The Battery  just opened up in San Francisco’s historic Jackson Square neighborhood. The private luxury members only club was founded by the philanthropists and social media entrepeneurs Michael & Xochi Birch. The unique social destination draws in cliente who are traditional, diverse, inquisitive, progressive thinkers who are always curious and on the hunt for new ideas and problems to solve with just a touch of bizarre. Here is where members can come to refuel and refill their cups, tell stories, swap ideas and where they come to feel at home on an evening out.

Housed in the iconic Musto Plaza building (former marble factory), The Battery features a high-end restaurant, four bars, a 3,000 bottle wine cellar, a lounge, a grand library, meeting rooms, a world class fitness center and spa, an outdoor garden and a fourteen room hotel. The 2,000 square foot property also has a penthouse with breathtaking views of The San Francisco Bay Bridge & Financial District skyline.

Their 80-seat restaurant uses the best local, sustainable and naturally raised ingredients whenever possible. And of course with such a close proximity to Napa, a wine list includes 700 incredible labels selected by their chef, Christophe Tassan. The menu is modern european cuisine and packed with pleasant surprises.
To join The Battery you must be nominated by a current member, fill out an application and await approval. Once a member, you may invite up to three guests (aged 18 or over) to join you at the club. Restaurant reservations may be made for parties of any size. Members can also enjoy member events like: exclusive dinners, tastings, live music performances, cultural talks and Q&A sessions.
