The Cultured WIFE: Fondation Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton Foundation

The Fondation Louis Vuitton opened to the public last month, after an Inaugural Weekend and 3 day celebration. Fondation Louis Vuitton begins an exciting new cultural chapter for Paris. Bringing the Parisian WIFE a space devoted to art — especially contemporary art — and above all a place for meaningful exchanges between artists and the entire world. By encouraging spontaneous dialogue, the new Fondation seeks to inspire both emotion and contemplation.

Commissioned by Bernard Arnault, designed by Frank Gehry and located on the site of the Jardin d’acclimatation in the Bois de Boulogne, The Fondation will be principally associated with artistic creation in all its forms. At the heart of the spaces, the Parisian WIFE will be invited to discover the permanent collection made up of works belonging to the Fondation or the Arnault collection, as well as bi annual exhibitions.

The Fondation also welcomes music, as the modular design of the Auditorium makes an ideal venue for novel musical experiences and artistic encounters. As well as a restaurant, Le Frank, run by Michelin starred chef Jean Louis Nomicos, owner of the Paris restaurant Les Tablettes on avenue Bugeaud. The fragrant menu will feature sophisticated French cuisine, as well as several representative dishes from other countries.
