For the Dior 2017 Cruise Collection, Peter Philips (Creative and Image Director for Dior Makeup), created an ultra-modern make-up look as a counterpoint to a show based on memories and emotions. Presented at the magnificent Blenheim Palace, this collection effectively renews links with an exceptional place, in which the House of Dior had previously shown collections in 1954 and 1958.
After evening out the complexion with Diorskin Forever Fluid Foundation, Peter created shape by gently contouring with DiorBlush Light and Contour Scuplting Stick Duo (Available August 2016). Applied to the hollows of the cheeks as well as the parts of the face that catch light, its two shades allowed him to emphasize the architecture of the face in a nuanced and transparent way. As a finishing touch, he applied just a hint of iridescent Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer (Available August 2016), providing a natural and luminous result.
Using the deep bronze shade from the 5 Couleurs Palette Parisian Sky (Available August 2016), which Philips applied as a colour-block in a single sweep over the entire eyelid, from the lash root to the eyebrows. This extreme look was chosen to contrast with the Baroque beauty of the décor.
Lips were natural, emphasized very slightly with a light peach shade using Dior Addict Lip Maximizer in Pink and Dior Addict Ultra Gloss in Spring Ball. Nails were naturally elegant with Dior Vernis in Muguet. All make up is availble at Dior.com – THE WIFE™
